3 Channel Diver Communications Set

3 Diver Communications set

Description

The SAT Systems three channel diver communications sets can be supplied either in a rack mountable case or in a portable rugged case. Both units are simplex only.

Rack mount

Our rack mount 3 diver communications set is designed to be fitted into a rack cabinet or frame in a dive control room.

All the connections, except that of the supervisor’s headset, are made at the rear of the unit leaving a clean uncluttered front panel.

It will normally be mains powered and the built in battery will provide full functionality in the event of mains power failure.

Each diver is connected to the communications set using a single-twisted pair cable.

Separate send and receive volume controls are fitted, neither volume control can be turned totally ‘Off”. A recording outlet allows the conversation to be recorded, as required.

Portable

The portable 3 diver communications set is compact, robust and designed to be splash proof in operation.

Special care has been taken to select the front panel components for durability in a marine environment and it is usually powered from its internal sealed 12V lead acid battery, which is recharged between uses.

This unit works in simplex only where the supervisor controls the direction of the communications using either the front panel mounted PTT switch or a remote PTT connected to the headset socket.

Each diver is connected to the communication set using a single-twisted screened pair cable.

The set is in listen mode until the supervisor uses the PTT switch on the front panel to communicate with one or both the divers.

Optional items in this mode are a fist microphone with PTT switch or a headset with PTT switch.

Separate send and receive volume controls are fitted, neither volume control can be turned totally ‘Off”. A recording outlet allows the conversation to be recorded, as required.
